Rachel Klastorin Samek, Esq. has practiced complex family law in South Florida since 2007. Prior to founding the Law Offices of Rachel K. Samek, P.A., Ms. Samek worked for a prominent family law firm in Coral Gables, Florida. Since founding the Law Offices of Rachel K. Samek, P.A., Ms. Samek has continued to focus her practice on complex family litigation, including divorce proceedings and modification actions, divisions of assets and liabilities, alimony and spousal support matters, parent and child relocation matters, paternity actions, child custody matters, and child support and enforcement matters.

Ms. Samek received a Bachelor of Arts degree in both psychology and sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2002 and a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center in 2007. While in law school, Ms. Samek served on the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law. Ms. Samek also participated in the Family Law Clinic, where she served as a Certified Legal Intern in the family law division of the Legal Aid Society of Miami-Dade County and was named an Outstanding Student by the Put Something Back project. Ms. Samek also received the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Scholarship for Excellence in Matrimonial Law. In addition, Ms. Samek worked for Lawyers for Children America where she represented abused, neglected and abandoned youth in dependency court proceedings. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Samek served as a staff member of the United States Congress Joint Economic Committee in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Samek is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and a member of the Florida First Family Law Inns of Court. Ms. Samek was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine in both 2010 and 2011.
